Miscellaneous by design is owned and run by Rob Bosschieter.
It’s a design, digital & branding consultancy for marketing and communications.

Everything Misc. by design creates for it’s clients, has commercial purpose and a results focus.
I always try and evaluate how the work achieves its goals and in collaboration with a client, measure its performance.

The work I produce is always specific to it’s environment, exploring the opportunities each medium provides for the communication.
Advertising, direct, identity, print, branding, events, editorial or digital are all catered for, with the same solid strategically led thinking and process.

Design and copy go hand in hand.
Client’s messages can’t survive on visuals alone. Good copy is integral to engaging design.
Therefore, Misc. by design works with great freelance copywriters for its clients on and offline needs. Like our design, the copy is engaging, relevant and targeted.

Operation Hope is a sponsorship program which seeks to build self esteem, heighten self worth and encourage disadvantaged children to believe in themselves.
Through participation in outdoor adventure-based activities, team building experiences and other life-changing programs disadvantaged children are validated and affirmed as individuals who are valued and have a purpose.
Misc. by design was responsible for the development of the brand strategy, identity and marketing collateral, fundraising and sponsorship initiatives.

Human Resources values program

Human Resources values program

Precision Group is a leading Australian retail and commercial property investment, development and management group that is privately owned.
Aspiring to ‘Best Practice’ in all areas, a HR initiative was developed to communicate a clear set of corporate values and culture to staff.
A set of memorable symbols were designed to marry up with the corporate values and a employee handbook was developed along with key HR presentations in powerpoint.
Besides the values identity, Misc by design developed a unique values reminder in the form of a desktop piece, in keeping with Precisions innovative approach.
The piece involved small scale manufacturing including; forging and casting, wood turning, handmade packaging and gold stamping.

Web design concept

Peter Stutchbury is emerging as one of the leaders of a new generation of Australian architects.
He applies his respect for our environment to his architectural practice; designing buildings, often very beautiful homes that are strongly and intelligently connected with the uniqueness of the land on which they sit.
Misc by design was engaged to develop a web direction and design for Stutchbury Pape web presence, as a result of work experience there (another story). Whilst the design didn’t get any further than the drawing board, it still remains a favourite of mine.
